What is Civic Science?
Our Civic Science Collective, founded in 2014, is a place for public dialogue where people can better understand the values and beliefs of others on contentious science and health-related issues.
Over the years CSC has developed into an ecosystem that supports a path for scientists and citizens who seek to build a more inclusive climate for civic participation in science.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, scientists are increasingly grappling with the social impact of their work, hoping to engage voices historically missing from science participation.
Responding to this reality, CSC seeks to support scientists and citizens with the knowledge, skills and practices needed to promote a culture of science that earns trust and includes all who seek to participate in science.
